A smart link shortener. An old, deprecated project: it had promise, but the cost of running it at scale ruled it out.
What was it?
Zipp.so started as a smart link shortener. It was a draft of mine that even managed to generate some income.
Why it was deprecated
Because of the high expectations around it, I chose to let it go: I knew that a project like this, done well and at scale, needed a solid budget to sustain its costs. So it became a closed chapter.
